Household of God
The church is not a place you go to worship on Sundays. The church is the bride and body of Christ and the household of God. The church comprises those who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Christians are God’s adopted sons and daughters (Ephesians 1:4-5; 1 John 3:1-2). The church is a community of believers that love, support, and encourage each other as they do God’s will on Earth.
“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Through Him, you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by His Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22, NLT)
This month, we will dive deep into Acts Chapters 1-2 to learn the origin and purpose, structure and strategy, message and mission, and the benefits of being a part of God’s family.
